Programs and special events for young adults

Craft Evenings

Drop in from 6:00PM to 7:00PM on the first Tuesday of every month and make a craft designed especially for teens.  Crafts in the past have included origami frogs, altered books, lava lamps, and yarn octopi.  No registration is necessary.  Bring your friends!

Book Club

Gather with other young adults and talk about the monthly book club selection from 6:00PM to 7:00PM on the second Tuesday of every month.  Stop by the Youth Services Desk to pick up the young adult book selection of the month.

Wiivenings

Play the Nintendo Wii on our giant television on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00PM to 7:30PM.  No registration necessary.  We have lots of games and equipment, like Rock Band, Mario Kart, Sports Resort, and more.

Now Showing...

Now Showing... is for teens in 6th through 12th grades.  It meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month from at 5:30PM.  Movies will be shown on our very large flat screen television and refreshments are usually provided.

Summer Reading Program

The yearly Summer Reading Program (during the months of June and July) is a great way to win prizes and go to fun events at the library.  There are always special programs, craft events, prizes, and more.  Every teen who completes there reading goal will win a free book of their choice and be entered in the grand prize drawing for even more fantastic prizes!  Stay tuned for more information.

Special Events

Youth Services often hosts special events for young adults throughout the year.  Programs in the past have included balloon twisting classes, library lock-ins, and more.  Stay tuned for more information.
